We did a lesson on Under the Sea!
Our sensory activity was water beads in our water table with ocean animals! I bought water beads and sea creatures off amazon It was actually super easy to set up! It mentioned the beads needed a few hours to soak in the water so I opted for 12 and started prepping the night before our lesson in the morning! I used 3 big chip bowls
lined the bottom with the tiny beads careful not to have too much that they would spill over when they swelled up. Filled the bowls with water just below the lip.
They swelled up within a couple hours!
I went to bed nervous I was going to have water beads everywhere in my kitchen (like one of the reviews cautioned) but they stayed the same size and filled the bowls perfectly! I added them to our water table and added the sea creatures!
My kids loved the under the sea sensory activity! Of course the beads would escape to the floor but were easily sweepable even if they were stepped on!
