I love adding crafts to learning! Today we learned the sound of S. Ssssss is for Snowman!
We collected rocks from the beach down our street and actually, we painted them at the beach in 40 degrees. I thought it was a warm 40 degrees until we were at the beach with the wind blowing the paper the rocks were on. The rocks and paint were flying! But we managed. My hands were frozen by the end of it. So note to self check the REAL FEEL before heading to the beach in 40 degrees. At home we added paper hats, and pipe cleaners for a scarf and arms. The boys loved trying to balance the rocks for the snowman body. It's a lot harder than it looks!
