Our local farm hosts a goat hike and, oh boy, it was an adventure! You each get a goat on a leash and the owners guide you through their beautiful farm. There were an array of goats to choose from and all with their own personality!
The goats didn’t have a medium speed. These goats ran, stopped to eat, zig zagged around people, and tangled their leashes! It was quite eventful! Eric had enough of the back and forth with his goat half way through but Liam stuck with it for the entire hour hike! You really have to keep those goats moving but if they are moving they are really moving fast!
The farm had a brook, a forrest, and large open fields on top of the hill with views of the bay and town! I felt like we were in the sound of music if the sound of music had goats! We passed by other farm animals like cows and pigs! We also learned that all goats grow horns and beards so no quick way to figure out if it’s a boy or a girl!
Dane woke up half way through the walk to these new funny creatures. I was breastfeeding, chasing my kids that were chasing the goats! It was a handful and a total blast! What a fun experience!
